PICKWICK POOL TEAM

14/03/24: The Pickwick's winter season bowed out with a disappointing home defeat in the semi final of the Silver Salver to the Falconwood Club. It was looking quite rosy leading 5-2 after going 2 nil down, but we lost our way, made poor decisions, and missed vital balls. Earlier Gaf had cleared nicely, and Bedtime did likewise in the first set. Juggy got the job done, and Gaf won his second of the night, and then the wheels came off. Perhaps it was the final three frames of the second set where really the Pickwick could and should have won the match, but as these frames disappeared the presuure increased. Our opponent's tails were up now, and they rattled off the next three frames to secure a 8-5 win and their place in next week's final whilst dumping our boys out.
